Backpacks for Kids

Realtors continue annual Backpacks for Kids program

The Northeast Washington Association of REALTORS once again joined forced with Rural Resources Victims Services and Kids First Children's Advocacy Center to support Backpacks for Kids.

This year they donated 100 backpacks. The Backpacks for Kids is for at-risk children who have been suddenly been displayed from their homes, and often find themselves without the most basic personal items. Inside each backpack is personal hygiene items like toothbrushes, comfort items like blankets, as well as basic school supplies like notebooks and pencils.

Rural Resources Victims Services and Kids First Children's Advocacy Center is responsible for distributing the backpacks as needed.

Waffle, therapy dog for Victims Services and Kids First Children's Advocacy Center, local REALTORS and Rural Resource staff all help out with the program.
